Writers in STEM

The Circuit Spark Science Society is excited to announce our upcoming writing competition. This competition is open to students in Zambia who enjoy both writing & composition as well as science & technology.

This year, there will be two categories: 'Technology: Through the Looking Glass' and 'Science: Redefining Reality'. Each category will have three prompts, but prizes and entries will be judged by category. Initial submissions will be capped at 450 words.

The judging panel will select finalists to advance to a second round, where submissions are capped at 650 words.

The winning pieces from both categories will then compete for 1st overall and overall runner-up, with the authors awarded K 650 and K 400, respectively.

2nd and 3rd for individual categories will receive K 260 and K 130, respectively.

Registration opens on the 15th of October. Writing Prompts release on the 1st of October.
Submission deadline is 15th November.
